This hotel has such great charm. Loved the location which was perfect walking distance to Cannery Row and the aquarium. Even with two small children, it was very easy to get around. The rooms were super cute and we loved the fireplace. The weather was gloomy so it was amazing to come back to a warm fire.

The hotel is a great location for walking to all the Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf locations in Monterey. We stayed twice in one vacation and had both a standard king and double bed. Both rooms were large. The king room had two large comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace and TV. This is so much more pleasant than the usual room where you sit on the bed and barely have room to walk. We also had two sinks in the bathroom area in both rooms. This made getting ready in the morning very quick. The interior garden landscaping is very attractive. Both rooms were on the first floor but seemed very quiet. There was a minimum of car noise with no honking or tire squealing. We found the beds to be a comfortable medium firmness, the breakfast good, and the staff super friendly. Staying at the Victorian Inn really added to our vacation

This is a great hotel. The staff is wonderful. Friendly, helpful. The location is perfect, just a couple blocks off Cannery Row. Easy walking distance to the aquarium and pier. I keep returning when I get the opportunity to visit Monterey. This time while making reservations I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday. It was so fun to have a bottle of wine and hand written note waiting for me in my room. Those extra touches take customer service up several notches.

Part of me doesn’t want too many visitors booking this hotel, but I’ll spread the word along with all the other happy customers. The inn is a great value and offers wonderful accommodations in the heart of Monterey! We first stayed a couple of nights at the Monterey Plaza Hotel, and we enjoyed the luxurious atmosphere, but the reality is that we weren’t in our room long enough to justify the price. We then spent three nights in the BW Victorian Inn. Like the Plaza, the inn is located on the quieter end of the Cannery Row area, yet in walking distance to most attractions. We had a large comfortable room on the 3rd floor with a fireplace that we actually lit after a cold rainy day of site seeing. They pay attention to the details, like for women, they provide a magnifying makeup mirror and a large full-length mirror, both of which are so helpful. The room was quiet, a requirement for me because I’m a light sleeper. The free breakfast was great, and as for paying for parking? Seriously, we were thrilled to have a parking garage where we could come and go as we pleased. It was worth the daily charge! Before closing, kudos to the excellent staff and the management. We saw workers at all hours keeping the place clean and running efficiently. I even thought I’d look up who owns the inn, so we can visit some of their other properties. I really felt I got my money’s worth and then some!

Nice place to stay. Centrally located. Soft beds. Fireplace. Good morning breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Well worth the money. The afternoon wine and cheese was a great touch.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews I read here, and I'm glad I did! We had an excellent stay at the Best Western. It's location is excellent, and the parking fee isn't exorbitant. Our room (a king-size bed) was quite large and included a fire place, two chairs, a fridge, and (my favorite part) TWO SINKS! One in the bathroom and one right outside. It was a great setup, I wish more hotels were set up this way! The breakfast was good. Hotel was pretty quiet at night although you could hear people getting up to start their day in the mornings. Be sure to buy our Aquarium tickets here!!! I read about the Buy-one-get-2-days deal online. No one at the hotel mentioned it to me, which I think they should have. Not only is it a good deal, but it also saves you from standing in the long line outside the aquarium, of all the people waiting to buy tickets!

Our room was spacious and very comfortable. It was also conveniently located near the aquarium and main streets. The service was great and everyone was really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Victorian Inn because we heard that it was pet friendly and was located near the Monterey Peninsula Recreation Trail. Our experience with this hotel exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival our beagle/basset was greeted with an array of pet food, treats, and hugs. And in our spacious and comfortable room a bottle of merlot and box of chocolates were waiting for my husband and me. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the spectacular recreation trail and the restaurants and shops on Cannery Row were only a few steps away. We also appreciated the afternoon wine & cheese reception and waking up to a delicious hot breakfast. Bottom line: This was a great find and we will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Monterey.

I've been staying in this hotel for car week for over the last ten years. Always enjoy staying at this hotel. Bathroom have just been remodeled. Every room has a fireplace and most have a patio. The wine and cheese hour every afternoon is very nice and the free breakfast in the morning is nothing fancy, but saves you money in an area that is slightly more expensive than some when it comes to food. Walking distance to the Aquarium and Cannery Row, a great location with plenty of restaurants around to choose from for lunch and dinner. If I ever had time to come up to Monterey just for fun, this is the place I would stay.

Absolutely the best! From the management to the staff, top notch. Every visit to Monterey, this is where I stay simply because of how they treat me. Was in an updated room (bathroom) this time and that was very nice!
