We were really happy with our stay. The room was a fair size and beds very comfortable and we all felt it was well located for walking access to everything we wanted to see in Monterey. Wine and cheese hour was an added bonus. I did like the china mugs and plates and metal cutlery for breakfast use - far preferable to the paper plates and plastic cups in other hotels we stayed at.

This BW Plus Victorian Inn has everything you need for a wonderful stay in Monterey. Lovely rooms with fireplace, indoor parking, breakfast and happy hour included, two sinks and mirrors in the bathroom area, security for building entrance, car window washing supplies, water and fruit in lobby all day, can walk to many resturants and shopping and aquarium. And very pleasant employees...who have been there for many years. A real PLUS of a hotel.

The Best Western was one of the nicest I’ve been in. The room was very spacious. We had corner room #217, plenty of windows plus a fireplace. Happy hour every day and a good breakfast. It was about 2 blocks from Cannery Row. The staff were very pleasant and always willing to help. Will definitely stay here again

For the past 12 years, we come to Monterey twice a year and usually stay a week at the BW Victorian Inn. The very capable manager, Sharleen Adams, has been making improvements in the property each year, and we are surprised on every subsequent visit to find this to be a much cleaner, warmer welcoming, and higher quality experience. The bathrooms have recently been renovated, the hallways are beautifully redecorated, the beds are upgraded with new mattresses. This location definitely provides a higher standard than any other Best Western property I have visited. This has become our home away from home.

This is a hidden gem. The hotel combines a cozy Victorian Inn for dining and gathering connected to a more traditional hotel. The location is great - near Cannery Row and the Aquarium and a short walk to heart of Monterey and the sea. The rooms are clean and fairly large with a working fireplace and outdoor patio. Daily afternoon wine and cheese and a generous morning breakfast buffet made our stay extra special. A common room in the Victorian hotel allows guests to gather to watch TV or just chat with other guests. The entire hotel staff went out of their way for us in every respect. My mother, who is disabled, was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Parking costs $16.00 extra/day but is conveniently located under the hotel with easy access. I have stayed at many other hotels in Monterey and this was the best by far. Highly recommended without hesitation. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra day.

After staying at numerous Best Westerns throughout the country this location was by far the best ! Our experience was of value to the staff and it is was warmly obvious. The value received far outpaced the cost!!!

We love staying at the Victorian Inn each year when we are in town for an annual conference. Staff are helpful and friendly. Walking distance to the Aquarium and the conference location we attend each year. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Beds are very comfortable. Happy hour and breakfast are nice too.

We visited Monterey for my fiance's 50th birthday weekend. After a lot of research and based on reviews and the fact that the room had a fireplace I chose the Victorian Inn - and I'm glad I did! The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had a little balcony overlooking the courtyard and even a bit of an ocean view. We were on the 3rd floor and it was exceptionally quiet, which was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the afroementioned fireplace and the wine and cheese reception in the early evening :). Breakfast was also nice, coffee was great! The hotel is within walking distance of Cannery Row and the aquarium, which we visited during our stay. Yes, parking is $16/day but we walked everywhere and as there is limited street parking in the area (metered) it was well worth the fee. Who wants to run and feed a meter every 2 hours? All in all it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the Victorian Inn to anyone visiting the area.

I stay periodically at best western, and my stay at the Victorian inn was unbelievable. I'm a hard person to satisfy and with that said, I was absolutely taken back by the outstanding service of this hotel! From the check in which was speedy, to the complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates for being g a platinum member; to bringing me a bucket of ice when I came down with the flu. Kind, courteous, prompt, attentive, and professional! All wrapped up in this beautiful inn. I own a maid service also on the peninsula, and the cleanliness was on the highest level. I was begining to think customer service didnt exist anymore, but they stand on their own, great service!

Very little one can add to the earlier helpful, positive reviews. Our room was on the third floor facing over the courtyard and the roof tops with a little bit of water view. Since it was slow season most rooms were not occupied and we were not bothers by any loud voices. Best of all was the very friendly and helpful staff, and the cold water flavored with freshly cut oranges or lemons in the lobby was very much appreciated after a long sight seeing day.
