We visited Monterey for my fiance's 50th birthday weekend. After a lot of research and based on reviews and the fact that the room had a fireplace I chose the Victorian Inn - and I'm glad I did! The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had a little balcony overlooking the courtyard and even a bit of an ocean view. We were on the 3rd floor and it was exceptionally quiet, which was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the afroementioned fireplace and the wine and cheese reception in the early evening :). Breakfast was also nice, coffee was great! The hotel is within walking distance of Cannery Row and the aquarium, which we visited during our stay. Yes, parking is $16/day but we walked everywhere and as there is limited street parking in the area (metered) it was well worth the fee. Who wants to run and feed a meter every 2 hours? All in all it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the Victorian Inn to anyone visiting the area.

I stay periodically at best western, and my stay at the Victorian inn was unbelievable. I'm a hard person to satisfy and with that said, I was absolutely taken back by the outstanding service of this hotel! From the check in which was speedy, to the complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates for being g a platinum member; to bringing me a bucket of ice when I came down with the flu. Kind, courteous, prompt, attentive, and professional! All wrapped up in this beautiful inn. I own a maid service also on the peninsula, and the cleanliness was on the highest level. I was begining to think customer service didnt exist anymore, but they stand on their own, great service!

Very little one can add to the earlier helpful, positive reviews. Our room was on the third floor facing over the courtyard and the roof tops with a little bit of water view. Since it was slow season most rooms were not occupied and we were not bothers by any loud voices. Best of all was the very friendly and helpful staff, and the cold water flavored with freshly cut oranges or lemons in the lobby was very much appreciated after a long sight seeing day.

Excellent location, property and staff. We have stayed at this property twice on visits to Monterey because it is steps from Cannery Row, the Aquarium and many great restaurants. It is always clean and quiet and on our last trip I left some valuables behind. I was contacted within hours and arrangements were made to return my valuables to me. I applaud the efficiency and honesty of the staff. Breakfast is by far the best we had on our week's trip -- so were the fluffy towels! A great value overall.

We have been to Monterey several times. It’s our nice get away. Our family of 4 stopped in Monterey on our way back home from Big Sur. I reserved the room on our drive to Monterey. The Best Western Plus check in was fast. The receptionist was friendly. The room was clean and spacious. I called the front desk to ask how to operate the AC and discovered the hotel doesn’t have an AC. They have a fan in each room. We opened our window and got a nice ocean breeze. The hotel is very close to Cannery Row and the aquarium. We will return to this location on our next trip to Monterey.

My partner and I had an unplanned trip to Monterey so of course we didn't set up our itinerary. No place to stay, no goals for the day! Found BW Victorian Inn, and they have such a lovely place and staffs. Every bit of experience was nice! Definitely going to check in here again if we visit the area.

We had a room on the 1st floor facing the courtyard garden We sat outside and enjoyed the garden when we were not out enjoying Monterey. Very central located to Cannery Row. We walked everywhere. Bed was comfortable and rooms were clean. Staff were very helpful. Check out Fish Hopper for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent. We would stay there again.

I've had good experiences with BW Plus hotels and this Victorian Inn is no exception. The location is convenient, it's walking distance to Cannery Row, the aquarium and some local restaurants. The room is well appointed and clean. Pillows and beds are very comfortable. Second floor room has nice high ceiling, the bench by the windows, the fireplace make the room feel bigger and more relaxed. The staff is friendly & professional. Check in/out process is quick. The modified breakfast because of Covid is understandable (it's basically a grab & go brown bag but it's sufficient.) I would stay at this Inn again in the future.

Very convenient Very clean the staff where very pleasant pet friendly we were walking distance of everything we would definitely stay there again. The bike path was amazing and the weather was beautiful

Park the car and walk everywhere! Cannery Row and the Wharf. Love the rooms with balconies and fireplaces. The always friendly staff!
