Comfortable room, nice fireplace and nice staff. Very quiet location but within walking distance to a restaurants, Cannery Row and the waterfront. The breakfast was above average with lots to choose from - egg dishes, link sausages, yoghurt, fresh fruits, oatmeal, make your own waffles, assorted breads & juices

Yes, the location is excellent - and so is the free continental breakfast! But the customer service is top tier. My family and I arrived and parked in the parking garage located beneath the hotel. We were able to check in early so we grabbed our things from our trunk and headed to our room to drop them off. The next stop was the aquarium where I received a phone call from the hotel but couldn't answer due to limited cell reception. I immediately received a follow-up text from Christina B. that someone had reported our trunk (which still had valuable possessions inside) was open. Christina not only went down to check the car, she closed the trunk for us and reviewed the security cameras to ensure no one had approached the vehicle and that no other issues with the vehicle had taken place. She was thorough and so helpful and took care of our belongings when we weren't around (and were definitely most likely the reason the trunk hadn't closed to begin with). Staying in a location where someone goes out of their way for their guests like that can be rare. Thank you, Christina!

This was my first time staying here and I had a great stay. I got a room upgrade when I checked in. The room was very cozy with the fire place and decor, and super clean. The free breakfast and close parking was also a plus.

We loved the Victorian Inn! The housekeeping staff was excellent in their cleaning of the room. The office staff was excellent in friendliness and helpfulness. The breakfast food and staff were excellent. It was high quality breakfast food, fresh and hot, and replenished frequently. It was certainly not your run of the mill "continental breakfast". We were able to walk everywhere, and enjoy the sites on Cannery Row and the restaurants. Loved the aquarium. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Victorian Inn!

We have visited Monterey many times and have tired of paying top rates for tired, neglected properties that keep raising fees. This time we opted for this very reasonably priced inn and enjoyed it very much. Somehow we lucked into one of the few rooms (only one?) with a lovely bay view. It didn't have a lot of extras like bathrobes or complementary water, but it contained everything we needed and was quite comfortable. When we did need something, like an extra blanket, it was provided immediately and with a smile. Breakfasts were more than adequate buffets and well supplied. The location is moments from everywhere and walkable to a zillion restaurants and shops where we were able to spend some of the money we saved by staying here, rather than pretentious places right on the water. Highly recommend you consider this spot!

The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. Having two vanity sinks was a plus. Great location.

Spotless room. The furniture in the rooms and common areas is keeping with the vintage feel. The fireplace in the room was a very special touch. Wonderful wine/cheese every evening and excellent morning breakfast. They really go out of their way to make it nice and welcoming and serve their guests. It's less than a 2 block walk to the Cannery Row shops. I loved that we could park in the garage underground. It rained the day we left, and we were protected from the weather while loading up our car. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it.

A very good value in the Cannery Row area. Easy access, good parking, and comfortable rooms. Plenty of outside areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You're maybe half a mile from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and only a mile from Fisherman's Wharf with a good walking path if that's how you want to get around. Very good breakfast, and wine and cheese in the afternoon which turned out be a great way to meet your fellow travelers. The best thing about the Victorian Inn is how very friendly and helpful the entire staff is. You can tell that they all take great pride in this location.
