Beautiful hotel and Victorian home. Enjoyed how close it was to everything, but still quiet.

The Victorian Inn in Monterey was a delightful surprise. Our spacious room, complete with a cozy fireplace, created an instant feeling of comfort and luxury. The inn's prime location made exploring the area a breeze, with popular attractions just steps away. Every detail, from the friendly staff to the inviting atmosphere, contributed to an unforgettable stay. It's a perfect choice for anyone seeking a blend of old-world charm and modern convenience.

Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. Great location for exploring Monterey- just a couple of blocks from main waterfront. At breakfast there was a good selection of fruit, yogurt, cereals plus hot choices and although dining room quite small, no issues getting a table for 5 of us. Shower was great.

Our second stay at this hotel was once again a pleasant experience. We were greeted with a personalized note and chocolates in our room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and clean, with a bathroom featuring double sinks and a large shower. However, keep in mind that the hotel does not have air conditioning; there is a fan available, which was useful during the warm nights. The hotel offers paid parking, and breakfast was included, though the quality was average with a standard American selection. We were very satisfied with our stay and are delighted that we chose to stay here for a second time.

Amazing place, loved our stay

We have been coming to this place since 1997. We love the ambiance of this place. This is a historical hotel and has so much charming and appeal. The character of this hotel is unparalleled to others in the city of Monterey. We live in Kentucky now, but when the opportunity presents itself to fly home, this is definitely a place we go to stay in. The breakfast is top shelf and undeniable delicious. The wine and cheese tasting are impeccable. The sitting rooms were designed in early 1900 decor. The rooms still have the charm of antique pictures and chairs yet still have updated amenities. No need to pack your hygienes because they're already in the shower. The staff is a delight to talk to, considering how most places have employees who wouldn't care about speaking with you. Make sure to tip the peeps in the service areas, wine, breakfast, and housekeeping. They do a fantastic job keeping your belly full and your wine glass topped off, and not to mention keeping this place spotless. You will be pleasantly surprised when you stay here. We love it. Second time w/in a year staying here. Looks like it has become our choice of places to stay if in the area. Staff are friendly, especially those taking care of wine/cheese and breakfast. They are so efficient keeping supplies filled and tables cleared.

Great property and location. 2 blocks from Cannery Row but away from the crowds and bustle. Very friendly welcome. Underground parking with easy elevator access to floors. Several bell carts available. Good hot breakfast. Finding your room is a bit of a challenge. Highly recommended and would return.
