Love this place. Quaint,. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Great locale too. I stay here 1-2 times a year.

Older rooms but very comfortable. We preferred it colder but the rooms had fireplaces and heaters. It looked like there was a balcony for each room. Road noise but still quiet. Literally 5 minutes from Cannery row, it’s the next street over, and only a 10-15 minute walk to the aquarium. The breakfast in the morning was a great spread too, and the ladies were so friendly. I would recommend this hotel again!

The simple version : If you're looking for location , great staff, quaint rooms, breakfast and parking then look no more! More detailed version: I've stayed at many places in Monterey and this place is by far my favorite! The location is walking distance to Cannery Row and the beach! Breakfast in the morning and cheese and wines early evening. The staff is so pleasant and very approachable with smiles ! Christina is amazing . When I booked the room I did mention my son was taking me whale watching for my birthday (weekend of memorial), and was super excited to find a special little birthday surprise in my room upon check in. Parking is great; big enough for all guests yet small enough so all parkings are close to the elevator. Highly recommend, great value and lovely staff !

The staff is amazing. They helped us switch rooms due to being a light sleeper and next to the elevator. They have a great breakfast. It is so nice to eat a real egg for a change. Highly recommend. The beds were comfortable and had ample pillows. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April, it was outstanding. The room was great, excellent breakfast and the cheese and wine at 5pm a delight! My only criticism (slight) was that our second floor rooms had quite a bit of noise from the third floor occupants when they walked in their room. This was not the only hotel on our holiday where that happened so I would advise asking for top floor room if you want peace and quiet overnight. But still a tremendous hotel and would return to.

I booked online direct with Victorian Inn and took advantage of their two nights plus a free night offer, which is a great deal. I stayed in the Premier King room , with a vaulted ceiling, fireplace and balcony. I was there in March, and it was too cold to use the balcony, but I certainly enjoyed the fireplace. It operates easily with a push button wall panel with timer. I spent evenings reading in front of the cozy fireplace. I started each day with breakfast in the lovely dining room. I had eggs, sausage, a muffin, juice and coffee, but there are many other options as well, such as Belgian waffles, fresh fruits and juices. in the evening there is a nice offering of red or white wine, crackers, cheese and grapes. The far end of the dining room has a sofa and fireplace, great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The Victorian Inn staff have that perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism, which means I felt very welcome as a solo traveler. Christina, at the front desk, was especially helpful answering questions and making restaurant recommendations. She also stowed my backpack and suitcase at no charge, since I was an early arrival. Same thing at checkout, she kept my luggage while I visited nearby Cannery Row one last time. The housekeeping staff kept my room perfectly clean. The King bed felt luxurious, and I slept like a baby each night. The shower had good water pressure and no shortage of hot water. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Cannery Row (shops and restaurants), Monterey Bay Aquarium, Old Fisherman's Wharf, and the lovely Coastal Trail, with bike rentals nearby if you want to bike the trail. The Victorian Inn is wonderful, and I know you'll enjoy staying there.

A great location with great walking access to everything. Knowledgeable staff about where to find what you need to enjoy your trip.

Nice room. Close to cannery row. Didnt get to experience the service but id imagine its good too!!
