We've stayed here 3 times in the past few years. Friendly, professional staff. Clean, quiet (room 302 this time) with a lovely fireplace. There's a nice wine and cheese hour in the evening. The free breakfast is much better than most of the free breakfasts we've had at other hotels. Underground parking (additional fee) is convenient. Highly recommended.

This stay I decided to go a little upscale, very happy I did- impressive! The first thing that struck me when I entered my room was the cleanliness. and the room itself was great. My prerequisite fireplace of course, a small balcony with a couple of chairs was used a lot. Of course everything in the room worked great, housekeeping was spot on. In fact the staff at every point was friendly and helpful, very professional. The morning breakfast was well done and the afternoon wine & cheese was a super nice touch. Even though my room faced the street, the traffic never bothered me even with the balcony door open. No real views, but I enjoyed sitting out there and chilling. In fact I'd ask for a street side room again. If your visiting Cannery Row/Aquarium and Fisherman's Wharf, this is a great spot to stay without breaking the bank. A full range of restaurants are also in walking distance, from Carl's Jr to Chart House or Sardine Factory, everything in between. You can park the car and leave it! A very impressive stay!

Quaint Victorian style Inn. Breakfast and evening wine reception was enjoyable! The staff is hardworking and pleasant from the reception to the cleaning staff. Would definitely stay here again

The Victorian Inn met all of our expectations and then some. All of the staff were very courteous and very accommodating. We are looking forward to booking this hotel again the next time we are in Monterey.

The best breakfast ever I got during my many stays in Monterey! Wine reception also was very good! Very friendly and efficient staff.

The staff were so welcoming at check-in and helpful when we made a small request. They treat the 4-legged guests quite well, with their name on a sign in the foyer, a food bowl, doggies treats etc. We enjoyed the wine and cheese event and the breakfast was tasty...

Ideal location for a stay in Monterey Bay. Just one block from the main cycle/walk path along the front. Perfect 5km morning running route (there and back) to Lovers Point to watch the sunrise. Great breakfast, although busy when we stayed but the staff we quick to replenish food and clear away. Just 2 blocks down to Cannery Row for plenty of shops and cafe choices. We stayed with our 4 year old son and had a great time.

An excellent experience. I loved everything about this hotel. The room, (with fire) the views across the bay, the cheese and wine, the breakfast and the staff. Secure parking. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Good access to the rest of Monterey.
