We just returned from a 3 night stay (with our Husky) at the Victorian Inn. It was an amazingly lovely experience. From the first phone call about a reservation to our check-out, the staff were friendly, helpful, accommodating. The location is perfectly walkable to numerous restaurants, activities, Cannery Row, the Aquarium, shops, and several beach access areas. There is a park just a block away (same street) that was perfect for dog walking. The entire area (and every shop) was dog-friendly. Our room was exceptionally quiet (first floor) - we never heard any other hotel guests, any of the 4 dogs staying there at the same time, nor any street traffic. The complimentary breakfast had enough variety of foods to give us a terrific start to the day. The wine/cheese hour was wonderfully relaxing and delicious - and it was especially fun to interact with other guests from all over the world. We will return!

My husband and I initially experienced some surprise to discover we'd been lodged in a newer, more hotel-like building rather than the old inn we expected, but we ended up loving our huge, quiet, more private room with its pretty, antique furniture and paintings. The high ceilings made it feel airy and old-fashioned and the place was extremely quiet. Terrific staff and the breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip! We were happy the Inn was a convenient walking distance to Cannery Row and the waterfront, and we LOVED the aquarium.

This is a nice place to stay downtown, and not too far away from the water. It's a lot bigger than you think, with plenty of rooms. They have complimentary breakfast and wine/cheese hour, which are nice touches. Parking is available but you need to pay for it.

We stayed here because it was close to the aquarium, and we were not disappointed. We really enjoyed our stay, and we would return again. The price, the location, and the breakfast all made our stay very enjoyable. We will be back

The Victorian Inn was great! We got two rooms, one night. Loved the friendly and helpful staff, wine and cheese hour, free breakfast, fantastic location near restaurants, the bay, the aquarium, museums, trails, etc. Great room with fireplace and balcony, excellent bathroom with two sinks, very good value for this expensive city! Can't wait to come back.

Victorian Inn was a very nice and affordable place to stay, I would return and they had a great breakfast and a great happy hour and it was included with the price of the room

The property was in a great location for seeing Monterey. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We loved the cheese and wine offered at tea time. The breakfast was also good. Overall an excellent hotel. Nothing.

The grounds were beautiful. Nice large room with a fireplace! Lovely happy hour and breakfast.

Great Stay, easy walking to Cannery Row. The afternoon reception was nice and a great breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
