Friendly, helpful staff from front desk to breakfast help, maintenance and cleaners. The bonus of a fireplace allowed for a great place to unwind. Location was great for strolls to shops and restaurants on Cannery Row. PERFECT getaway spot!

Very comfortable and well-maintained hotel just a block from Cannery Row. Parking was available. Rooms were very comfortable and our even had a fire place in it. Lovely landscaping. Everything worked in the room and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was lovely and the shower was great. Highly recommend if you are in the Monterey area and want to stay near Cannery Row. Breakfast was included in the rate we had and it was excellent. There was also an afternoon cheese and wine tasting activity in the hotel reception area.

This hotel has such great charm. Loved the location which was perfect walking distance to Cannery Row and the aquarium. Even with two small children, it was very easy to get around. The rooms were super cute and we loved the fireplace. The weather was gloomy so it was amazing to come back to a warm fire.

The hotel is a great location for walking to all the Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf locations in Monterey. We stayed twice in one vacation and had both a standard king and double bed. Both rooms were large. The king room had two large comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace and TV. This is so much more pleasant than the usual room where you sit on the bed and barely have room to walk. We also had two sinks in the bathroom area in both rooms. This made getting ready in the morning very quick. The interior garden landscaping is very attractive. Both rooms were on the first floor but seemed very quiet. There was a minimum of car noise with no honking or tire squealing. We found the beds to be a comfortable medium firmness, the breakfast good, and the staff super friendly.
