This hotel is hands down one of the best places to stay at in Monterey. The location is perfect and is in walking distances to all the major attractions Monterey offers. The rooms were amazing and had plenty of space. The rooms with a fire place are amazing as well! That fire place warms up the room perfectly. I also have to say the Hotel Manager Alyssa is hands down the best. I lost my Galaxy Ring during check out and when it was found she called me quickly to let me know. I wasn't able to come back so Alyssa made sure I was able to get it mailed to me since I live in Idaho. This hands down has to be the hotel to stay at in Monterey. We will be back one day!

We visit Monterey every year for our anniversary. Out usual hotel was full so my husband booked us a room at The Victorian Inn. We LOVED out experience so much more than the other place!! The room was beautiful and cozy with a fireplace and vaulted ceilings (3rd floor), we had a little balcony, they had a great Continental breakfast as well as a wine & cheese hour at 5 each evening, and they went over and above the communicate with us. The housekeeping was perfect. We got extra blankets when asked. Plenty of parking in the garage, right near the main strip, It was all just perfect. We will be back next year! Thank you!

Great stay, good location

I mean, this has to be the most underrated hotel in Monterey. The rooms, service, location, are all great and the price is set so most people can afford to stay here. They’re pet friendly and have nice amenities like a fireplace in the room and some sort of cheese event at night (we didn’t go). Walk one block (2 mins) and you’ll be at Cannery Row. Only negative was that the patios are shared which is very odd. They could easily put up some plant or concrete dividers but don’t so the person staying in the adjacent room can come right up to your sliding glass door.

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great experience. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Room & bathroom was very clean. The complimentary morning breakfasts were a great perk. Amazing walkable location to visit Cannery Row, the Aquarium, Fisherman’s Wharf, plenty of restaurants, and other places. Anything that needed an Uber was also just a 5-10 ride.

Great place to stay for your Monterey visit! The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of character. We had a working gas fireplace in our room. Judging by the chimneys all along the building, I would assume most of the rooms do. Perfect for cool Monterey nights. The continental breakfast was limited but very tasty! We had no problem eating breakfast at the hotel every day for a week. We also caught the wine and cheese night one evening- super cute! The location is perfect for walking Cannery Row and all of the surrounding attractions. We were also plenty close enough to the NPS academy (if you’re staying to visit family currently at NPS and can’t get a room at the Navy Lodge). We loved our trip and stay at the Victorian Inn. We would definitely do it again!
