This is a nice inn. The location is walking distance to some beaches, Cannery Row, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and even the Old Fisherman's Wharf. There a lot of great food options within 1 block. The wine and cheese reception is fun to meet and make friends. The inn is dog friendly. Staff were freindly and helpful. Definitely going to return.

We have been incredibly comfortable here over the last 10 days. The king room with fireplace for 2 adults is spacious and clean. Our room has a large shower and 2 sinks — one in the shower room and one outside in the vanity area — making it quicker and easier to get ready at the same time. All rooms have a patio or balcony. ** Victorian Inn is walking distance to 1) MB Aquarium, 2) Cannery Row, 3) Coastal Trail, 4) More! ** Breakfast (7-10am) has both hot options (egg and sausage) and cold options (yogurt, cereal, whole fruits, waffles, etc.). Afternoon wine/cheese hour (5-6pm) offers cheddar and Gouda plus crackers and Red Delicious apples (which are salty — I would change that, btw) plus a Sav Blanc and Cab Sauvignon, lemonade and iced tea. We have visited Monterey ~8 times over the last 2 decades and have stayed in VRBOs/AirBnBs and B&Bs. Since the CV-19 pandemic started, room inventory in the area seems to have remained low. Our choices were to either pay $800/night for a VRBO/AirBnB/B&B or to pay average of $300/night here. It was well worth it to book direct with the Inn — we received an upgrade to 3rd floor, which may have been bc we booked direct. Would definitely book here again — and will.

Very nice hotel for the long weekend. Lots of attractions within walking distance.

A comfortable hotel within walking distance of most restaurants, shopping and attractions in Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. The hot breakfast and wine & cheese reception were nice additions to our stay. The hotel is well maintained and furnished. Every staff member we encountered were friendly, helpful and professional. They are hard-working employees who seem to really care about the hotel and their guests.

Great location--walking distance to the Aquarium, restaurants, and shops. Family friendly. Good breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean, but are due for an update. Beds we're comfortable, and itsi the first hotel I've been in in a while where the heater was fairly quiet and kept the room consistently comfortable. They renovated bathrooms, and are working on other updates in hallways--maybe there are more in the future.

Helpful staff, clean, walking distance to the aquarium. Hotel lets you park in the underground garage after checkout and until 4pm, helpful if you plan to visit the aquarium.
