Wow! This was a last minute, in town, decision and I chose right. This place was so nice. Not only was the property lovely, the room was exceptional. Quiet, comfortable, cozy with a fireplace and balcony facing the street. I wish I had stayed longer. The bed was firm but very comfortable for me. I like firm over lumpy any day. I will stay here again, and I highly recommend this Inn. Sorry I missed breakfast, but I’m a late riser. The bathroom and shower were perfection as well. I’m a 4* snob, but when you have nice accommodations like these, you feel like you are at a 4.5*, less the expense.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. Actually had the bed made and clean towels. Haven’t seen that since before the pandemic. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Totally recommend a stay here.

We loved everything about the Inn! Wine and cheese and breakfast provided a great opportunity to meet others - or just relax.

Great stay with excellent breakfast, a cozy fireplace, and affordability. We valued the breakfast, which was really good, and the fireplace in the room was awesome. The stay was also quite affordable.

Accommodations were great. Staff were friendly. The main street is a little loud. However, if you aren't sensitive to noise or have a room away from the street you should be good. The room I was in was great. Has historic vibes with modern furniture. Morning breakfast is basic and has food sensitivity options available. Walkable to Cannery Row and have a few thrift shops.

Got the family suite and it was amazing. Tons of room for our little guy to play around and also a door to separate us all at night. Parking was tight but easily accessible which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We didn't want valet service or to park near the hustle and bustle of the main street. Free breakfast and wine/cheese hour was great too. Highly recommend! We'll stay again when we return to Monterey.

Always clean and friendly and probably the best location, can walk to everytime. It's the only place we stay in Monterey.

Enjoyed the great location and staff was amazing! The breakfast was surprisingly good. Waffles were delicious.

I mean, this has to be the most underrated hotel in Monterey. The rooms, service, location, are all great and the price is set so most people can afford to stay here. They’re pet friendly and have nice amenities like a fireplace in the room and some sort of cheese event at night (we didn’t go). Walk one block (2 mins) and you’ll be at Cannery Row. Only negative was that the patios are shared which is very odd. They could easily put up some plant or concrete dividers but don’t so the person staying in the adjacent room can come right up to your sliding glass door.

This hotel is such a gem. First, every staff member that I encountered was actually friendly and helpful. Thats unfortunately not super common anymore so it’s a pleasure when that is the case. I only stayed one night and the price was affordable, so was the parking. I’ll never really understand why hotels charge for parking, but $20 here is a lot better than $40+ like other hotels. I checked in at 5:00 and there was a complimentary happy hour. i grabbed a glass of wine and some cheese, crackers and apples to take to my room and enjoy on the cute little patio while getting ready for dinner. There are so many restaurants and shops with a couple blocks of the hotel. The coastal walk is right there too. Im a big fan of the 12:00 check out as i was able to enjoy my morning and not be rushed. The bed was comfy, although the bedding is pretty thin and I did get chilly throughout the night. There wasn't back up linens in the room, but I'm sure if I asked they would have supplied some to me. There was also a There was also a very decent complementary breakfast offered that included fresh waffles, yum! overall I would definitely recommend staying here.
