  • Are there bikes for rent on the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreational Trail?
    You can rent bikes along the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreational Trail, including beach cruisers, mountain bikes, hybrids, tandems, and carbon road bikes. Helmets, maps, and locks are included in the price. The trail hugs the shoreline from Monterey Bay Aquarium to Lover's Point. From there, you'll pick up a bike lane, which is mainly flat.
  • How long does it take to ride the trail?
    Covering 18 scenic miles, the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail goes from Pacific Grove in the south to Castroville in the north. Once a Southern Pacific Railway train route, the picturesque path takes you to several attractions, from the shops and restaurants of Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf to historic sites and Monterey Bay Aquarium. To ride the entire trail takes about 4 hours, but you will likely want to stop and snap a few pics.
