FAQs

  • where can i go scuba diving?

There are only a few spots at Point Lobos State Reserve where you can go scuba diving. These include Whalers Cove and Bluefish Cove along with some of the nearby waters. As the number of divers is limited on a daily basis, you’ll need to make a reservation. But it will be worth it. With pristine water and tons of spectacular sea life, this is considered to be the top place for diving on the Monterey Peninsula.
  • Are there any guided walks?

Indeed, there are. Most days you can take a walk headed by an experienced docent who will provide details on everything from animals and plants to birds and even the history of Point Lobos. While many of these excursions are pretty general, there are some that stick to a single topic. Plan on spending up to an hour and a half on these docent-led walks, which cover less than a mile of fairly flat ground.
