“We were referred to your hotel by other business travelers that have stayed there and RAVED about the rooms, breakfast and the wine and cheese reception. “It was winter break for our son, [and] we wanted to travel somewhere fairly local so my parents could go with us. I like the Best Western brand, and was looking for a hotel close to Cannery Row that wasn't too expensive. I found you! We all had a great time, really enjoyed the wine & cheese and the fireplaces in the rooms. [We] will definitely stay with you next time instead of the Portola Plaza Hotel. “We have stayed in over 60 BW Hotels across America over the past 3 years on Motorcycle Road Trips, and while visiting family, and I can honestly say that the Victorian Inn in Monterey, CA is without question THE BEST we have ever stayed at. The Hotel’s location, grounds, decor, rooms, and staff were outstanding in every way… Your ENTIRE front desk staff was exceptional in every way… We had our Family Cat (Bob Marley) with us, which prompted us to select and book the (Pet Friendly) Victorian Inn on our way down from Tahoe. Originally only planning on staying one night, but after check in we all decided to extend an additional night so our dear friends, Michael & Zhoreh from Dubai, UAE could see all that Monterey, CA had to offer… Thanks to all the staff for their warm hospitality, dinning suggestions, and assistance during our Stay. “We have stayed here a number of times. [The] first time [was] to celebrate my birthday, nineteen years ago. My grandson was nine months old and our Poodle was also with us… The staff was so great [to] all of us. They treated my grandson so great and were so accommodating with our dog. We decided that the Victorian Inn was the best place to stay in Monterey… I would like to add that the rooms are so comfortable. I feel at home… I could say more but I will leave that for the next time.
P.S. My now 19 year old grandson was with us on this visit and he loved it. [The] same grandson that was 9 months [old] on our first visit. We will be back. Great job on keeping this a great place to stay.” – 08/06/09

“Getting two-day aquarium tickets for the price of a one-day admission was huge! It allowed us to make multiple trips with our three-year-old despite naps, etc.” – 07/30/09

“I was [looking for] a combination of dog friendly and historic… My husband was at a conference [so] my son, the dog and I came to explore Monterey… Everyone was lovely, but Sharleen particularly went out of her way to be helpful… Because we had the dog with us, we spent more time at the hotel and enjoyed the surroundings thoroughly. It was within easy (and beautiful!) walking distance of the conference center as well as the aquarium and Cannery Row. Even the dog felt welcomed by the staff! …We had a lovely time.” – 07/06/09
